Description
1 day class
Making your own soap at home is both feasible and economical. With only a few ingredients and minimal equipment, you can easily provide your family with a natural product that is essential to our lives.
In this class we cover the basics of making both hot- and cold-processed soaps, with students gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of our teachers. First, we take you through the steps to make your own small batch of traditional cooked soap, beginning with rendering fresh beef fat into pure tallow, then mixing, cooking and scenting your batch. In the afternoon, you’ll mix a batch of creamy soap using the cold method.
This class is from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The materials fee will cover the soap instruction manual, personal safety equipment and the soap you make in the class, all of which you will take home with you.
No Prerequisite
All our classes close 24 hours before the class date with the exception of classes that start on Monday, which will close the Friday before. If there’s a class that closed early that you’d like to attend, please call us at 254-754-9620 to check for availability.
