Description
In this class you will learn how to weave a 5-thread lace (spot weave) design using two pick-up sticks and string heddles. Learning the skill to use two pick-up sticks will greatly add to your ability to develop complex designs in your weaving. You will be weaving with Rachel’s hand-painted Panda blend wool/bamboo yarn.
You can finish the project at home.

a 10-dent reed, one 12” stick shuttle and two 16” pick-up sticks
warping peg
threading hook
paper or sticks for winding on
scissors
tape measure
reed
fabric strips
lacing on cord
cardboard or sticks for front beam
Prerequisite: Rigid Heddle 100 & Rigid Heddle 104
All our classes close 24 hours before the class date with the exception of classes that start on Monday, which will close the Friday before. If there’s a class that closed early that you’d like to attend, please call us at 254-754-9620 to check for availability.
Note: Since our workshops are specifically designed for adults, an individual must be 18 years old to enroll in a class. All students should wear practical work clothes and shoes. For your safety, we ask that you do not wear shorts or sandals to a class you are attending.
