1 day class
This class provides a good foundation for anyone who wants to get started with horse farming. In it, you’ll learn how to feed, water, groom and care for a draft horse. You’ll get hands-on experience cleaning hooves and harnessing and leading a team of draft horses. After you learn to ground drive a team, you’ll get hands-on experience driving a hay wagon and plowing with a riding plow.
This class will involve outdoor activities. Please bring a wide-brimmed hat and wear long sleeves. Also, bring appropriate clothing for cold or inclement weather. No shorts or sandals, please.
This class is from 9 a.m – 5 p.m.
All our classes close 24 hours before the class date with the exception of classes that start on Monday, which will close the Friday before. If there’s a class that closed early that you’d like to attend, please call us at 254-754-9620 to check for availability.
