Saturday, August 31 and Monday, September 2, 2024, we will have our annual Labor Day Sorghum Festival. It will be at the Homestead Craft Village at Brazos de Dios, in Waco, Texas. Admission is free. Hours: 10AM – 4PM
Watch the process of making sweet sorghum syrup – from pressing raw cane with a horse-powered mill to cooking the sap into rich, golden brown syrup. Enjoy samples of sorghum syrup on freshly baked cornbread made from stone-ground cornmeal!

Visit the 2024 Homestead Fair in Waco, Texas. We will be open on three weekends:
- November 29 – December 1 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
- December 6-7 (Friday and Saturday, with a limited schedule on Friday)
- December 13-14 (Friday and Saturday, with a limited schedule both days)
This exposition of fine crafts and heirloom skills is a fun and educational festival with activities for the entire family.
Help milk a cow or lend a hand with the old-fashioned timber frame barn raising! Sample one of the multicultural dishes from the food court or enjoy a delicious ice cream cone while touring the farm on a horse-drawn hay wagon.
Enjoy our make-your-own projects and craft and agricultural demonstrations—including sheepdog work, horse farming, pottery making, blacksmithing, woodworking, quilting, weaving, spinning, basketry and much, much more
